Cock of the Walk is one of the oldest restaurants in Natchez and is a must-try for anyone interested in an authentic southern meal while in town. They purport to be the CREATORS of the fried dill pickle - and I believe it....if you order these delicious treats, you will be in for a surprise. A heaping plate of thinly sliced pickles, battered and deep fried, will arrive on your table with a generous serving of ranch dressing on the side. Delicious - don't knock it until you try it!! The other menu items include cornbread, mac and cheese, black eyed peas, fried catfish and other southern classics. Drinks are served in glass jars and the plates are metal pie tins. Sounds cliche but it's actually as authentic as they come!
